  • KINDERGARTEN

    Applicants must turn four by September 1, 2024, to apply to kindergarten for the 2025-2026 academic year. The appropriate birthday range for kindergarten applicates is late summer/fall of 2019 to August 31, 2020.

     

    FIRST GRADE

    Applicants must turn five by September 1, 2024, to apply to first grade for the 2025-2026 academic year. The appropriate birthday range for first grade applicates is late summer/fall of 2018 to August 31, 2019.

  • Thank you for your interest in our admissions process! Creating an account in our Admissions Portal is the first step towards applying to Cambridge. Here’s what you need to know:

    Account Creation Instructions:

    1. Visit our Admissions Portal starting October 1, 2024.

    2. Click on the 'Create an Account' link.

    3. Follow the prompts to fill in your information and create your account.

    Application Deadline:

    • Applications are due by Friday, December 20, 2024. Please ensure all required materials, including transcripts and recommendations, are submitted by January 8, 2025.

    Application Fee:

    • A non-refundable $100 application fee is required upon submission of your application.

    Please note: Cambridge School adheres to the Maryland Department of Health Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 10.06.04.03 regarding immunization requirements. Only medical and religious exemptions will be considered.

  •  As part of our admissions process, we require certain school records from your child's current school. To facilitate this, please follow these steps:

    1.     Download the Records Release Form: You can download the Records Release Form from our admissions portal or website.

    2.     Complete and Sign the Form: The form must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Ensure all sections are filled out accurately.

    3.     Submit the Form to Your Child's Current School: Once signed, please submit the form directly to your child's current school. This allows them to release the required school records.

    4.     Educational Evaluations (where applicable): Please submit copies of IEP Plans, 504 Plans, and the full educational testing report from Educational Evaluations to the admissions office. Information provided will be held in strict confidence and will only be reviewed by necessary administrators during the admissions process. If your child does not attend Cambridge, confidential files with be destroyed.  

    Please Note: Applicant information received during the admissions process is held in the strictest of confidence, as defined in the AIMS Policy Statement on Confidentiality of Student Recommendations.

  • Cambridge is committed to providing financial assistance to enrolled students based on demonstrated need, within the limits of our financial aid budget. The application for financial aid for the 2025-2026 academic year will be available online starting October 1, 2024.

    Application Requirements:

    ·       Financial Information: Both parents and/or legal guardians must submit financial information, regardless of marital status. If parents are divorced or separated, each household must complete a separate application.

    ·       Application Process: To begin, visit our financial aid page at www.cambridgeschool.org/finaid and create an account with FACTS Grant and Aid. The application generally takes less than 30 minutes to complete.

    ·       Deadline: The application must be submitted by Friday, December 20, 2024, which is also the deadline for the admissions application.

    ·       Financial Aid Awards: Awards will be included in the enrollment contract for accepted students.

  • Students applying for grades K-2 will come to Cambridge for a morning assessment on January 11, 2025 (part individual/part group) and meet with members of the faculty and staff. Students apply for grades 3-7 will come to Cambridge for a morning assessment on January 25, 2025 Please mark your calendar. Details regarding the specifics of the testing day will be sent one week prior to the scheduled test date.

  • Students applying to grades 2-7 will have the opportunity to spend a day at Cambridge, following a schedule typical for their grade level. This visit will be scheduled once we have received all required admissions documents.

  • The final step in our admissions process is a parent interview with both parents or legal guardians. This is an opportunity for us to get to know your family better and understand your child's needs and strengths. During the interview, we will discuss your child's interests, academic history, social skills, and any specific needs or concerns you might have. This helps us assess how well we can support your child’s growth and how your family might contribute to our school community. It’s also another chance for you to ask questions and learn more about our school’s environment and philosophy. Parent interviews are typically scheduled from January to mid-February.

  • ·       Application Review: The Admissions Committee will review application files throughout February.

    ·       Decision Notification: Families will receive their decisions on Friday, February 21, 2025.

    ·       Enrollment Contracts and Deposits: Due by Friday, March 7, 2025. Please complete all required steps to finalize enrollment for each accepted student through the Admissions Portal by this date.
